Ruthie Lee Johnson

Ruthie Lee Johnson, 43, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away suddenly in her home on Monday, May 22nd, 2023.

Ruthie was a generous, thoughtful, and loving kind of person. She had an outgoing and gregarious personality, which served her well in the food industry throughout the years. She perfectly fit that old saying of "she never met a stranger," as her heart was always open to any and all she encountered. She especially had a fondness for small children and went out of her way to care for them. However, her greatest love was for her family, especially her husband and children. In her free time, there were few things she enjoyed more than spending time with her beloved family at home, particularly if there was a true crime story on TV. She also loved spoiling her two cats, Puppy & Sheba! All in all, Ruthie was a truly beautiful soul who loved everyone and was loved by all who knew her. Words cannot express how deeply she will be missed after leaving far too soon, but her memory will remain with all those who loved her so dearly.

Ruthie was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene & Mae Lomaneck Johnson. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, David McCaw; children, Dayton Lee McCaw and Alana Dowdy; siblings, Melissa Nasworthy and Billy Lomaneck; and mother-in-law, Tracy McCaw.

A celebration of Ruthie's life will be held at a later time.
