Sarah Myers Cobble Carpenter

CARPENTER, Mrs. Sarah Myers Cobble died on Saturday April 23, 2011 in Belgrade, Serbia. Funeral Services will be 11 am Tuesday May 3, 2011 at the Luverne United Methodist Church with Rev. Spencer Turnipseed and Dr. Ken Jackson officiating. There will also be a service in Greenville, SC on Friday May 6, 2011 with Minister Danny Rolling officiating. Mrs. Carpenter is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cobble; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wake Myers. Survivors include her husband, Clemont Carpenter; three children, Robert (Jan) Cobble, Jr., Phillip (Faye) Cobble and Mary Jane Downs; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; four step-children; thirteen step grandchildren; sister, Mary Louise Mann; brother, Wake (Mary Jane) Myers, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Sarah’s and Clemont’s home on Franklin Avenue on Monday evening from 6 pm until 8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Susannah Wesley Fellowship, Luverne United Methodist Church or Crenshaw Christian Academy.
