Scott Elliott

Mr. Roy Scott Elliott, 68, a resident of Petrey, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019. Funeral services for Mr. Elliott will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, February 6, at Petrey Methodist Church with Pastor Charlie Sankey officiating. Interment will follow in Petrey Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Scott was a very loving and devoted husband, father, and friend. His life was centered around his family, grandchildren, and home. Additionally, Scott loved playing golf and anything to do with Auburn Athletics. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Duncan and Virginia Beall Elliott. Scott is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Laura Petrey Elliott; their two daughters, Ashley Elliott Meadows and Kristin (Scott) Kelley; four grandchildren, Andrew Blake Meadows, Lara Leigh Kelley, Lacey Scott Kelley, and Landon Elliott, Kelley; brother, Andrew (Dee-Dee) Elliott; brother-in-law, Ronald (Kay) Petrey; and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Jon Elliott, Doug Brown, Ronald Petrey, David Kelley, Morris May, and Bobby Beasley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Petrey Methodist Church or the Town of Petrey. They will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10 - 11 AM.
