Scott Daniel White

Scott Daniel White, a resident of Dozier, Alabama, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022. A memorial service for Scott will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 3rd, at The Vine Ministries in Summerdale, Alabama with Pastor Teri Baggett officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service.

Scott was the best welder in Baldwin County, and he took tremendous pride in having learned everything he knew from his cherished Uncle Chug. He was a down-to-Earth type man, who loved to keep himself busy. If he wasn't working, he was usually out hunting, fishing, or taking care of his farm. Though he had come to farming later in life, he showed remarkable aptitude for it. He had an incredible green thumb (that he proudly inherited from his mother), and there were few things he enjoyed more than taking care of their various animals, especially his chickens, pigs, goats, and horses. Scott also loved jumping on his Harley and taking off for a ride. He was always amongst the first to volunteer for the charity rides with his great, big heart.

Scott truly was just a big kid at heart; a quality which drew every child who met him to him. He had quite a goofy and comical personality and loved to make people laugh. One should never mistake his personality for being a pushover though. He was as strong-willed and determined a man as you could ever meet, but he was never too proud to fall to his knees in prayer. He was honest to a fault, so you always knew where you stood with him. He exemplified the value of hard work to his children. His favorite saying was always, "If it ain't White, it ain't right"...given that White was his last name and he was certain he was ALWAYS right. Above all, he was a loving husband and father who was extremely proud of his family. Words cannot possibly express how many broken hearts he has left behind, but they will find comfort in all of their beloved memories made together and the knowledge that he has been reunited with his mother in Heaven.

Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Eugenia Scott Hester. He is survived by his loving wife, Brittney Ard White; children, Starlyn (Clint) White, Seth White, Cole Welch, Kendrick Welch, and Naaman Meeker; father, Jack Daniel White; stepfather, John Hester; sister, J.J. Kamholtz; and his beloved canine companions, Poopy, Brutus, and Bessie.
