Shelby Ray Duncan

DUNCAN, Mr. Shelby R. , 82, a resident of Luverne died Tuesday March 4, 2014. Funeral services will be 11 am Friday March 7, 2014 at the chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Darien Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Duncan is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Simmons Duncan; parents, Lathan and Minnie Langford Duncan; three sisters, Johnnie Mae Stokes, Mary Kelley and Odell Maddox; and three brothers, Lucius Duncan, Lomax Duncan and Rufus Duncan. Survivors include two children, Jean (Wilburn) Mitchell and Danny (Rosie) Duncan; two grandchildren, Michele ( Jimmy) Kennedy and Christy (Leonard) McAdams; and a sister, Katie ( Bobby ) Bundy. Active pallbearers will be Mike Sims, Charles Simmons, Mark Simmons, Lee Simmons, William Simmons , and Walter Gomillion. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 am until service time. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to the Crenshaw Community Hospital Relay for Life.
