Shirley Ann Heartsill

April 16, 1947 — July 11, 2021

Honoraville

Mrs. Shirley Ammons Heartsill, 74, a lifetime resident of Honoraville, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Sunday, July 11, 2021. A graveside service for Mrs. Heartsill will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, July 14th, in Spring Creek Cemetery with Rev. Danny Dean officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mrs. Heartsill was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who simply adored her family. She spent most of her working career as a machine operator working on aircraft parts until her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time outdoors either fishing or camping. She also loved going shopping the best, especially looking for treasures at various yard sales over the years. Her favorite activity though was entertaining her family in her home as she loved spending time with them more than anything else. Above all, Mrs. Heartsill simply just loved life and the simple pleasures that came from it. That enthusiasm was infectious to everyone around her, so all of her loved ones thrived in the time they spent with her. She will certainly be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Heartsill was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Willie Heartsill; two daughters, Patricia Harris and Glenda Horne; granddaughter, Brittany Harris; great-granddaughter, Lauren Harris; parents, Leroy & Ruth Mayberry Ammons; and brother, Roylee Ammons. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry & Allison Harris and Tracy & Shayne Harris; son-in-law, Randy Horne; five grandchildren, Mike Olive, Dusty Horne, Brandy Horne, Bryan Harris, and Dillion Harris; six great-grandchildren, McKinley Olive, Bristal Sampley, Temperance Pace, John Carter Pace, Lilly Harris, and Kylen Harris; three sisters, Christine (James) Kelly, Louise (Bobby) Ammons, and Carolyn (James) Green; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Mike Olive, Dusty Horne, Randy Horne, Bryan Harris, Dillion Harris, and Johnathan Pace.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:30 - 1 PM.
