Shirley Tidwell Tomlin

TOMLIN, Mrs. Shirley Marie Tidwell, 67, a resident of Rutledge died Tuesday May 17, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be 11 am Friday May 20, 2011 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Tidwell, Rev. Mike Moses, Rev. Ben Blue and Jim Boothe officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Tomlin is preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Ella Hall Tidwell and three brothers, Jimmy Tidwell, Sherman Tidwell and Tony Tidwell. Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Tommy Tomlin; three children, Shari (Michael) Wright, Kelli Tidwell and Nathan (Nicole) Tidwell; five grandchildren, Bridget (Trey) Mathews, Lance Mount, Taylor Mount, Jose Baez, IV and Zachary Tidwell; three great grandchildren, Malakai Mathews, Trinity Mathews and Peyton Mount Wolfe; three sisters, Vickie (Billy) Dobbs, Joyce (Jim) Boothe and Debra (Sam Isaacs) Altinoz; six brothers, Cline (Sybil) Tidwell, Aaron (Kathy) Tidwell, Dale (Sissy) Tidwell, Ronnie Tidwell, Donnie (Lisa) Tidwell and Mark (Sabrina) Tidwell; and a host of nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Tim Tidwell, T.J. Tidwell, Darren Tidwell, Justin Arthur, William Dobbs and Heath Henderson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 pm until 8 pm. The body will lie-in-state at the church Friday for 30 minutes prior to the service time.
