Shirley Fuller Wilcox

Mrs. Shirley Ann Fuller Wilcox, 72, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, May 17, 2021. Funeral services for Mrs. Wilcox will be held at 2 PM on Monday, May 24th, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill South Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mrs. Wilcox was born and raised in Dozier, before moving to California following her marriage. A few years later, they wound up settling closer to family in Brantley. There, she and her husband created a loving home in which to raise their two sons. She enjoyed working for most of her life as a barber and beautician in her own salon. She also loved her horses tremendously. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. There was nothing on this earth she loved more than spending time with her children and grandchildren. Although they will miss her greatly, her family is comforted by the knowledge that she is at peace with her husband and granddaughter.

Mrs. Wilcox was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Michael Wilcox; their granddaughter, Alexis Ann Wilcox; parents, Ralph & Iris Frost Fuller; and three siblings, Marty Fuller, David Fuller, and Patricia Baggett. She is survived by her two sons, Shaun Michael (LeAnn) Wilcox and Patrick Andrew Wilcox; granddaughter, Kassidy Lyn Wilcox; four siblings, Peggy Fuller Warrick, Shannon Fuller, Larry Fuller, and Betty Fuller (Eldon) Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1 - 2 PM.
