Stanley Wilton Holland

Mr. Stanley Wilton Holland, 65, a resident of Petrey, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 18th, 2023. Family and friends will meet in Petrey Cemetery at 12 PM on Saturday, May 20th, for a graveside service for Stanley.

Stanley was a handy type of guy and enjoyed working in construction for many years. His family describes him as having one of the biggest hearts you'd ever be fortunate to encounter. He was a generous soul who never failed to go out of his way to help his cherished family and friends. In his free time, he loved to hunt and he was always ready to go when you needed a traveling/riding partner. He will be fondly remembered for his strong-willed personality that was tempered by such a great sense of humor. Stanley will be missed terribly by all those who knew and loved him, but they are finding comfort in the knowledge that he knew the Lord in his heart.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Morris & Barbara Kelley Holland, his brother, Clyde Holland; and nephew, Timothy McWaters. He is survived by his children, Mitchell, Austin, and Shelley Holland; sisters, Lycrecia (Burt) Bradley, Carmelleta Mills, and Dallas Turner; nieces & nephews, Tracy Clifton, John Mills Jr, Dana Lynn Johnson, Teresa Catherine McWaters, and Herbert Roberson; a dear friend, Ashley Moore; and many other extended family members and friends.
