Stanley Michael Walker

Mr. Stanley Michael Walker, 65, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Luverne Health & Rehabilitation on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.

Mr. Walker was a hard worker who not only worked as a truck driver, but also ran his own farm. He was a long time member of the Mt. Ida Methodist Church, and served his community for many years as a member of the Springhill Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Walker was dedicated to his family, and an extremely proud uncle to his nephew and great-nephews. He had a generous, loving heart that caused him to take in any stray animals that happened to wander into his yard. He especially adored his canine companion, Girl Dog, and his favorite cat, Puddin. He was a special person who enriched the lives of all who knew him throughout his life.

Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents, Lomax D. Sr & Hazel Bodiford Walker. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Lomax Jr “Max” & Karen Walker; nephew, L. Daniel (Melissa) Walker III; and three great-nephews, Austin Walker, Mason Walker, & Carson Walker.
