Stephanie Dawn Sanders Sutton, 60, a resident of Naples, Florida and formerly of Glenwood, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, February 7th, 2025. Funeral services for Stephanie will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 14th, at Brantley United Methodist Church with Rev. Charlie Sankey officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at Glenwood Methodist Church on Thursday, February 13th, from 5 to 7 PM.
Stephanie was a proud graduate of Brantley High School and then went on to earn her Bachelor's of Science from Troy State University. Her innate determination and "can do" attitude served her so well during her career as an executive in various technology companies and start-ups. She thrived in the high pressure environments throughout the years and was an instrumental part of every team wherever she worked.
Stephanie had a joy and passion for life that infused every aspect of her existence. She was also absolutely fearless and constantly craved fun and adventure due to her "work hard, play hard" mentality. She not only loved skiing and traveling in search of new experiences and new cultures, but also enjoyed more quiet, introspective self-care like yoga. Above all she was a loving wife, mother, and sister who could always make you laugh and never failed to be generous with those in her life. She leaves behind a remarkable legacy of compassion and love that her family will carry close to their hearts for the rest of their lives.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her daughter, Savanah Dubose, and her parents, Herman Sanders and Elenda Sanders Turner. She is survived by her beloved husband, Martyn Sutton; children, Amy Sutton, John Michael Dubose, Jack Sutton, and Josiah Sutton; brother, Benjamin "Benjie" Sanders; nieces, Emma Catherine Sanders and Sarah Elizabeth Sanders; and a host of extended family members and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Benjie Sanders, John Michael Dubose, Jack Sutton, Jed Sutton, Jeffrey Blackmon, and Wade Sanders.
Stephanie's family would love nothing more than to ensure she is one of the last to have this devastating fight with glioblastoma, so they kindly request your help in furtherance of that goal by donating to the following charity in her memory: https://fundraise.glioblastomafoundation.org/team/637379.
