OWENS, Mr. Stevie, 62, a resident of Luverne died Sunday August 12, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2 pm Tuesday August 14, 2012 at Camp Ground United Methodist Church with Rev. William Leverette and Rev. Cliff Cobb officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Owens is preceded in death by his parents, Bauzell and Virginia Farrior Owens and a nephew, Jared Owens. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Virginia Carr Owens; a daughter, Sabrina Owens; two sisters, Judy (Jimmy) Davis and Marion Evans; a brother, Mike (Connie) Owens; five sisters-in-law, Caroline Bozeman, Jeanette (John) Farmer, Doris (Donald) Thomas, LaRue (Jimmy) Shaver, and Billie (John) Jones; and a brother-in-law, John A. (Wanda) Carr. Active pallbearers will be Danny Jones, Jason Owens, Andy Thomas, Cade McCuthin, Stevie Carr, Paul Bozeman, Jim Shaver and Max Jones. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorial donations be made to the Camp Ground United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
