Sue Russell Taylor

TAYLOR, Mrs. Sue Russell, 75, a resident of the Gantt Lake Community, Dozier, AL passed from this earth to life Wednesday February 9, 2011. Funeral services will be 10:30am Friday February 11, 2011 at the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. William Leverette officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ida Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her parents, Cleve and Addie Mae Knighten Russell; sister, Mae Bailey; and a brother, Otis Russell. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Doyle P. Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and a brother, Douglas Russell. Active pallbearers will be Archie Shakespear, Gene Jones, Cecil Jones, Calvin Warren, Max Barton and Dick Chandler. Honorary pallbearers will be other members of Covington County Sheriff’s office Senior Reserve. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6pm until 8pm.
