Susie Faye Taylor

Mrs. Susie Faye Pollard Taylor, 87, a longtime resident of Paris, Texas, passed away peacefully at Home Sweet Home Assisted Living Facility on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. A graveside service for Susie will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 3rd, in Centenary Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Susie Faye grew up in Montgomery, Alabama before moving to Texas after her marriage. She met and married the love of her life, Bueford Taylor, and they spent 60 wonderful years together before his passing in 2014. She devoted her life to caring for her family, and treasured nothing more than spending time with them. Susie and her husband always found ways to nurture their love, including shared hobbies like gardening and collecting Tom Clarke gnomes. Susie was a devout animal lover and took in every stray cat she found. Over the years, she and her husband cared for 30-40 homeless cats, even taking them to the veterinarian to be spayed or neutered at their expense, doing more than their part helping to control the local animal population. They were also dedicated members of Blossom Church of God and volunteered there often.

Susie, aka Grammy, was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who constantly made her family her priority. Together they built a trove of memories over a lifetime, and these memories will now comfort her family in the days and years to come.

Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bueford Taylor, Sr.; parents, Ralph & Aileen Talley Pollard; and brother, Floyd Pollard. She is survived by her loving son & daughter-in-law, Charles Bueford Jr. and Tayna Taylor; granddaughter, Reagan Taylor; and great-grandson, Charles "Charlie" Robert Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to one's local animal/rescue shelter.

Family and friends will meet in the cemetery at the service time.
