A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, April 13th, in Providence Cemetery with Rev. Greg Sanders officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Summerlin was affectionately known as "Princess" to virtually all who knew her for many years. She spent her life dedicated to raising and taking care of her beloved family. She took immense pride in her home and thoroughly enjoyed entertaining her family and friends there. In her free time, she loved finding a great fishing spot and going to the beach. She was always up for a quick trip to Biloxi whenever the opportunity came up. She might have tossed a few coins in the slot machines while there. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was cherished, and will be missed, by all who knew her.
Mrs. Summerlin was preceded in death by her husband, Guy "Red" Summerlin; great-grandson, Jon Austin Stallings; and parents, L.D. & Lizzie Taylor Eiland. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Denny & Lynn Stallings; grandchildren, Blake (Kim) Stallings & Kayla (Kyle) Bryan; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Blake Stallings, Brody Stallings, Jack Bryan, and Lucy Bryan.
Active pallbearers will be Blake Stallings, Hunter Blake Stallings, Kyle Bryan, Bill Henderson, Johnny Eiland, and Jeffery Eiland.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation at www.macular.org.
