Tamia (Tammy) Dee Claridge Jordan, 77, a resident of Wetumpka, Alabama, passed away at her son's home on Saturday, August 30th, 2025. A celebration of Tammy's life will be held at a later date.
There are few people who were as kind, caring, and fun spirited as Tammy was. Despite her recent health decline, she remained positive and strong-willed. She loved the Lord and her family especially. Tammy was born in Phoenix, Arizona. She was employed by Boosters, Inc. in Montgomery for over 20 years. In her retirement, she was able to spend even more time with her friends and family, which she enjoyed tremendously. Her favorite things to do were to go to her grandchildren's events and go out dancing with friends as they followed the band Jukebox Allstars. She enjoyed playing games, going to the river with friends, and listening to her favorite musicians. Above all, she was a devoted mother and "Nana" to her cherished grandchildren who she loved beyond measure. Words cannot express how terribly she will be missed by all those who knew and loved her, but they know she is now embraced in the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ, in Heaven above.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Bill & Delethia Lark; sister Cynda Claridge; and granddaughter Kaitlyn Cornelius. She is survived by her beloved sons, Ty (Ellen) Cornelius, Tracy (Jan) Jordan, Todd (Becky) Cornelius, and Tory (Leslie) Jordan; grandchildren, Tyler Jordan, Taylor (Haven) Jordan, Gauge Cornelius, Sommer Cornelius, Drew Cornelius; a brother Tim (Jana) Lark and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Tammy's caregivers, and the staff of the Montgomery Cancer Center including Nurse Practitioner Ashley Mann, Dr. Reardon, Dr. McDaniel, and Dr. Whitley.
