Teddy "Donnie" Hughes

HUGHES, Mr. Teddy L. “Donnie”, 72, a resident of Pahokee, Florida, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Pleasant Home Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Green officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Home Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Hughes spent his young and early adult years in Crenshaw County, but resided in Palm Beach County, Florida for the past 48 years. He was self-employed in land development and the heavy construction industry, and he had been a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church since 1954. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Gertrude Tucker Hughes, and his brother, Jessie Morris Hughes. Mr. Hughes is survived by his wife of 37 years, Metra Rhodes Hughes; son, Tony J. (Pam) Wood; daughter, Nicole Faircloth; three grandchildren, Seth (Shelby) Wood, Gage Faircloth, and Jordan Faircloth; great-grandson, Reese Wood; sister, June H. (Louis) Boglioli; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and many friends. Active pallbearers will be Seth Wood, Joly Boglioli, Jesse Hughes, Clay Hughes, Richard Hammett, and Steve Carpenter. The family will receive friends at Pleasant Home Baptist Church on Thursday from 10-11am.
