Thurman Wilson Rhodes

RHODES, Mr. Thurman Wilson, 89, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017. A graveside service for Mr. Rhodes will be held at 2 PM on Friday, August 11, in Weed Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Wilson proudly served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willa Guy Rhodes, two daughters, Jennifer Chloe Nixon and Teresa Wynn Rhodes, granddaughter, Stephanie Renee Nixon, his parents, Roy and Fanny Dismukes Rhodes, two sisters, Carma Lou McInnish, and Agnes Ellis Rhodes, and brother, Vershel Rhodes. Mr. Wilson is survived by his son, Tim Rhodes, grandson, Henry Skylar Nixon, sister, Elva Rhodes Strother, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:30 – 1:30pm.
