Generosity, thy name was Timmy Hall! There has rarely lived a man more generous than him, though he was definitely not the type to shout all of his many good deeds from a mountaintop. He didn't give because he thought he had to or because he wanted to impress other people. His generosity came straight from his heart. That came partially from how he grew up and from his deep and abiding faith in the Lord. He knew what it was like to lose everything thanks to a fire in his youth, so you could bet that if he heard someone had suffered similarly, he was going to show up to help. He didn't give out of an expectation that he would receive anything in return, but from the pure joy of being able to share what he had to help others. Truly, his generosity knew no bounds, whether it was delivering a dozen bikes to a church because he heard one kid needed one or buying up every ham in town to deliver them to others for the holidays, you could count on Timmy to do his all and then some. He loved the way Christ commanded his followers to love and set an example for all those who knew and loved him.

Beyond his generosity, Timmy's life was defined by his dedication to work. He was the type of person who got up everyday to work from sun up to sun down, not because he had to but because he simply loved what he did. As they say, love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life, and that was Timmy. He was extremely goal-oriented and his mind never rested. He was always making plans for the future, even when he was just out riding on a Saturday afternoon, he never failed to miss an opportunity to build or make something new. He had a lifetime of experience owning and operating his own construction and timber businesses and was successful at almost every venture he pursued. He didn't need hobbies or various interests to occupy his time because he was determined to building an incredible legacy to leave behind for his children and grandchildren. After all, his proudest work throughout his life was his family. He cherished every moment he was able to spend with his children and when he became "Papa Timmy" with the birth of his grandson, there was nothing better on this earth.

Timmy was a proud graduate of Brantley High School and enjoyed coaching his son, Chase, in football there during his youth. He never failed to support his alma mater, and there was nothing better in the fall than for the Brantley Bulldogs to win on Friday and the Auburn Tigers on Saturday, especially if they were beating their arch-rivals, Luverne and Alabama! Timmy's faith was nurtured in his own youth and he carried it with him throughout his life. He was a faithful member of Cornerstone Church because Sundays were the Lord's Day and he wasn't going to not give up his time to worship his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And you better believe he was going to have on a long-sleeved shirt when he went because that's how his mama raised him! The last couple of years since his cancer diagnosis could have caused many's faith to waver, but Timmy never doubted that "God's got this," and so he kept faith with his Lord through every sling and arrow life threw at him. From his bountiful generosity, to his unfailing work ethic, and, finally, to his unwavering faith, Timmy was an example to everyone. The world would be a better place if more people exhibited those phenomenal qualities.

Timmy was preceded in death by his parents, Willard & Nell Brown Hall, and grandparents, George & Willie Pearl Hall and Clarence & Marcella Brown. He is survived by his children, Chase Hall and Kelsey (Zeth) Johnson; grandson, Dutton Timothy Johnson; siblings, Kathy (Bill) Bradshaw, Bill (Kim) Hall, and Randy (Lisa) Hall; nieces, Betsy (Aaron) Clemons and Anna Grace Hall; nephews, Tyeler Rayburn and Dawson Hall; grand-niece, Giada Clemons; grand-nephew, Liam Clemons; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Kevin Clark, Patrick Taylor, Christopher Bailey, Eddie Huffman, Frank Thomas, and Mike Beck. Honorary pallbearers will be Shannon Fuller, Billy Christian, and Snowball Pinkard.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Charles Tompkins and the Montgomery Cancer Center for their dedicated care of Timmy during his courageous battle with cancer.
