LEACH, Mr. Timothy Lewis, 53, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017. A memorial service for Mr. Leach will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 16, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Pastor Larry McEndarfer officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Timothy had suffered in pain from an old injury to his back for the last 29 years, and, last week, he suffered a catastrophic stroke. Despite the heroic efforts of the doctors and nurses, he did not survive. God answered prayers to make him whole, but he did so in Heaven rather than on this earth. Timothy loved to laugh and delighted in teasing family and friends. He was a musician and songwriter, as well as a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He dearly loved nature and all it had to offer. Two of his favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing. Some of his family’s fondest memories are of family fishing trips to the lake and listening to him playing music either by himself or with friends. This is not a time of mourning, but a time of rejoicing. Timothy is now whole and pain-free in heaven with family, friends, and beloved pets. He may even be singing and playing the guitar with God, so do not mourn him. Please celebrate his life and rejoice in the fact that after a lifetime of pain, he is finally living and loving without any pain. He will be dearly missed here on earth, however Heaven just received another guardian angel to watch over his loved ones. Timothy wished to be cremated and have his ashes spread over different places that were near and dear to his heart. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Jean Leach. Timothy is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Melanie Kyle Leach, son Jeremiah Logan Leach, mother, Patricia Shoffner Leach, two sisters, Lorri (Rob) Thomas and Sandi (Scott) Ramsey, brother, Robert (Rhonda) Leach, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 – 11 AM.
