Travis Windham Taylor

Travis Windham Taylor (age 81) of Marietta, GA passed away peacefully on January 3, 2019 surrounded by his family. Mr. Taylor was born in Crenshaw County, AL in 1939 to his parents, Fernie Marvin Taylor and Jessie Lee Bodiford Taylor. He married his sweetheart, Carolyn Taylor, in 1959 and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage before she passed away in 2015. Mr. Taylor was a beloved brother, uncle, father and grandfather. He is survived by his daughter Ms. Jane C. (Craig Workman) Taylor, Marietta, GA; son, Dr. Trent (Kay) Taylor, Kansas City, MO; 4 grandchildren, Jarrett (Kierstin) Workman, Taylor (Madison) Workman, Jacob Workman, and Nathaniel Workman; nephew, Mr. Tony (Martha) Sims; two brothers, Mr. Oscar (Jean) Taylor; and Mr. Sam (Nonie) Taylor; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Funeral services for Mr. Taylor will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 5, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Brantley Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 - 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Red Cross or the Brantley Cemetery Fund.
