HOLLADAY, Mrs. Vera Louise, age 96, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018, and is now in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Funeral services for Mrs. Holladay will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, November 3, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Brother Jason Holladay and Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Holladay was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin E. Holladay; two grandchildren, Josh Brandon Holladay and Jan Smith Grandalski; two sisters, Ersie Mae Acreman and Mary Evelyn Jordon; and two brothers, Harley Bolling and C.M. Bolling. She is survived by her children, Jeanette (James) Smith, Cliff (Shirley) Holladay, and Jerry Holladay; three grandchildren, Joy Smith (Roy) Campbell, Jason (Ashley) Holladay, and Carrie Holladay (David) Whetstine; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Myrtice Bolling Laird, and numerous nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Jason Holladay, John Robert Holladay, Jarod Grandalski, Kevin Grandalski, Christopher Campbell, and Dr. Alan Young. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 - 2pm.
