Virginia Inez Rayborn

RAYBORN, Mrs. Virginia Inez Worrell, 89, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from the chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Brantley Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Rayborn was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lessie Worrell; three brothers, John Worrell, Leo Worrell, and Luther Worrell; three sisters, Kate Puckett, Jeannie Smoke, and Oudia Evans; and two grandsons, Jonathan Rayborn and Paul Spurlin. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Manning Edward Rayborn; four children, Marie (Frank) Spurlin, Shirley (Robert) Peek, Marvin (Carolyn) Rayborn, and Johnny (Sharon) Rayborn; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and a number of loving nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Brett Garrard, Clark Rayborn, Dale Spurlin, Robert Peek, Jr., Tim Rayborn, and Warren Alverson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 PM until service time.
