Vivian Lanell Thomas

THOMAS, Mrs. Vivian Lanell, a resident of Highland Home, AL passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the age of 75. Funeral services were held on Tuesday April 5, 2011 at 2 PM at Salem Church of Christ, Highland Home, AL with Ministers Caleb Cochran and John M. Dickinson officiating. Interment followed in the Church cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Thomas is preceded in death by her parents, Obe and Rebecca Graham Fisher, Sr., four sisters, and one brother. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Alvin B. Thomas; three children Cindy(William E.) Roper, Brenda(Steve) Newton, and Gary A. Thomas; seven grandchildren, Grant Roper, Brittany(Alex) Tindal, Cole Roper, Blake Roper, Ashley Newton, Maribeth Newton, and Lori Anne Newton; and two great grandchildren, Jon Austin Roper and Emily Kate Tindal. Active pallbearers were Gary Owens, Matthew Pouncey, Grant Roper, Alex Tindal, William Roper, and Steve Newton. Honorary pallbearers were Cole, Blake, & Jon Austin Roper.
