OLIVE, Mrs. Voncile, age 83, a resident of Highland Home, AL died Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Her legacy of love, kindness and humility will live for generations to come. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends who all held a special place in her heart. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Highland Home Church of Christ with Minister Dean Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Rocky Mount Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Olive is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Olive; her parents, Dozier & Leola H. Stephenson; four sisters, Mattie Ainsworth, Sue Holmes, Aletha Messick, and Mildred Evans; and brother, Harold Stephenson. She is survived by six children, Sherrell (Benny) Taylor, Dianne (Jim) Holland, Patricia Brightwell, Dene (Maurice) Pene, Mike (Margaret) Olive, and Donald Olive; eleven grandchildren, Mikie (Laura) Olive, Lindsey (Shane) Cantrell, Beth Defee, Dewayne (Connie) Defee, Cindy Nelson, Stephanie (Tommy) Hickman, Tonya (Dirac) Barbee, Robbie Spurlock, Courtney (Mike) Dasinger, Shane (Leigh) Pene, and Andre (Mary) Pene; twenty-four great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Ellen (Charles) Massey and Frances Phillips; and her brother, James (Edna) Stephenson. Active pallbearers will be Shane Pene, Andre Pene, Dewayne Defee, Robbie Spurlock, Matt Barbee, and Corie Barbee. The family will receive friends at Highland Home Church of Christ Friday morning from 10 am until service time.
