Walter O. "Bubba" Sexton

SEXTON, Mr. Walter O. “Bubba,” 71, a resident of Lapine, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017. Funeral services for Mr. Sexton will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, September 5, in Danielsville Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Francisco officiating. Interment will follow in Danielsville Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Sexton was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Essie Mae Sexton, two sisters, Jeanette Hall and Annette Shockley, and four brothers, Douglas Sexton, H.V. Sexton, L.J. Sexton, and Billy Sexton. He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Margie Chesser, five children, Johnathan (Donna) Sexton, Terry Sexton, Donna (Bobby) Stephens, Sylvia (Gary) Parker, and Jennifer (Matthew) Pouncey, twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and sister, Joann Eiland. Active pallbearers will be Pat Bozeman, Justin Moody, John “Bobby” Weaver, Matthew Pouncey, Gary Parker, and Austin Majors. Austin Stephens will be an honorary pallbearer. The family would like to express their gratitude to both Jackson Hospital and the Montgomery Cancer Center for their loving care during a difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to either the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL 36111 or the Danielsville Cemetery Fund, 59 Danielsville Road, Honoraville, Alabama 36042. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 1 – 2pm.
