FLOWERS, Mr. Wendell Wilkie, 73, a resident of Dozier, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018. A memorial service for Mr. Flowers will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 29, at Pintlala Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Burton officiating. Mr. Flowers proudly served his country with the United States Air Force. He was a loving father who worked extremely hard his entire life. Any leisure time he had, he enjoyed spending it fishing at the county lake. Mr. Flowers was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Franklin and Pearly Novella Catrette Flowers; sister, Dean Fowler; and five brothers, William Flowers, Karon Flowers, Aaron Flowers, Bill Flowers, and Jimmy Flowers. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Audrey Sasser Flowers; two children, Jeremy Flowers and Jessica (Adam) Bennett; three grandchildren, Brady Kilcrease, Emily Hollinghead, and Annah Harris; two sisters, Faye (Tommy) Horn and Katherine (Clayborn) Atwell; two brothers, Merrill Flowers and Joe C. (Sandra) Flowers; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at the church on Saturday at the service time.
