Mrs. Wendy Michelle Warr Boothe, 43, a resident of Lapine, Alabama, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021. A graveside service for Wendy will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, November 6th, in Rocky Mount Cemetery with Pastor Scott Sexton and Turners Funeral Home directing.
Wendy had a more reserved personality, but she was always a happy-go-lucky type who brought so much laughter and joy into the lives of others. She had a marvelous sense of humor and was known to tease all those she "beat" while they were out fishing, especially her husband. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach, and there were few things she enjoyed more than a simple night, sitting around a fire and listening to the old country greats. On Saturdays in the fall, she could always be found cheering on her beloved Auburn Tigers against their opponents in football.
Wendy spent much of her working life in the restaurant industry, which only proves how strong and resilient a person she was given such a difficult type of business. In her free time, she loved to spend time in her garden planting flowers and other greenery. All of her life, Wendy was an avid animal lover, especially when it came to her precious dogs. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt who loved her family more than anything else on this earth. She was a true light in their lives and greatly loved in return. Her passing has left behind a huge hole in all of their hearts, but they will find comfort in all of those treasured memories they made together over the years.
Wendy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents and father-in-law. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Christopher Brent Boothe; children, Devin Warr and Christopher Brent Boothe II; her furbabies, Sister (who has been her shadow for so long), Trooper, and all of her other pups; parents, Kenneth & Faye Simmons Warr; siblings, Marie (Wally) Paulk and Chris (Samantha) Warr; maternal grandparents, Steve & Jean Stamps; nephew, Tristan (Suzy) Warr; niece, Chastity (Cole) Gibson; great-niece & great-nephews, Peyton, Aiden Cash, Traiceon, and Jasik; best friend, Heidi Norman; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Chris Warr, Chad Warr, Derek Warr, Cole Gibson, Wally Paulk, and Wayne Miles. Honorary pallbearers will be Devin Warr and Tristan Warr.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 - 1:30 PM.
