BROWN, Mr. William Reginald, 89, a life long resident of Lapine went to his home in heaven on December 24, 2010. He was born on December 8, 1921 and was a teenager during the Great Depression, often saying the family did not notice a difference when the depression started or ended. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the US Army in the European theatre of operations. He worked in the timber and lumber industry most of his career and retired from Holman Lumber Co. in 1983. He loved being with his family and friends, gardening, gospel singing and satisfying his very hearty appetite. He was a long time member of the Salem Church of Christ, and a great example of a humble Christian man.
