William Daniel Free

FREE, Mr. William Daniel, 66, a resident of Rutledge, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Funeral services for Mr. Free will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 31, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Brother John Dickinson officiating. Interment will follow in Rutledge Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Free was a proud retired sergeant from the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Coston and Vivian Mills Free. Mr. Free is survived by his former wife, LaVada Carnes, and their son, Juston Wade Free, two sisters, Fay (Bobby) Milton and Judy (Dwight) Scroggins, three brothers, Jimmy (Barbara) Free, Mack (Cheryl) Free, and Ricky (Theresa) Free, uncle, Mallie (Jean) Free, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends. He is also survived by his special friend, Missy Mitchell, and her family, including her parents, Bill and Mary Broadway, her daughter, Samantha (Adam) Rawlinson, and her grandson, Brayden. Active pallbearers will be Dusty Free, Jim Free, Chad Free, Randall Free, Jacob Free, and Brock Free. His lifelong best friends, David Lewis and Jim Rice, will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 - 11 AM.
