Mr. William Howard McLeod, 55, a resident of Goshen, Alabama, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Funeral services for Mr. McLeod will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, September 16th, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Ann Mayhall and Pastor Jeremy Bunnell officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Goshen with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mr. McLeod was the epitome of a hard-working man. He believed in working as hard as he could and doing the best job possible. Lately, he owned and operated a convenience store with his wife, where he was affectionately known as "Boss Man." He was rarely still, always staying busy with something. He was an excellent mechanic and could fix anything he set his mind to. He loved being outdoors, whether it was farming, hunting, or fishing. He had several entertaining stories about his hunts with country stars, Hank Williams Jr and Kid Rock, too. He was always generous with everyone he knew. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family, whether they were blood and those he chose. He will be sorely missed by all of them, especially as he's gone on far too soon, but they are comforted by the knowledge that he is no longer suffering. He will live on in all of the treasured memories they made together.
Mr. McLeod was preceded in death by his son, Derrick Fincher, and parents, Howard McLeod and Brenda Boykin. He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Stephens McLeod; children, Endsley McLeod and Josh (Roxie) Fincher; granddaughter, Maylee Fincher; his beloved "furbaby," Dozier; and numerous other family members, friends, and "chosen family."
Active pallbearers will be Michael Sanders, John Johnson, Mark McHenry, Kendall Allen, Jesse Grayson, and Henry Hitt.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 - 11 AM.
