William Richard Mitchell

MITCHELL, Mr. William Richard, 58, a resident of Luverne, AL died Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 4, 2011 at 2 PM from Faith Walk Ministries with Rev. Derek Sowell and Bro. John Dickinson officiating. Interment will follow in Mills Chapel Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home directing. Mr. Mitchell is preceded in death by his father, L. W. Mitchell. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Phyllis B. Mitchell; two daughters, Jessica (Jason) Sullivan and Robyn M. Jones; four grandchildren, Mackenzie Carlos, Jayden Carlos, Jailen Jones, and Austin Jones; his mother, Patricia (R.J.) Freeman; and two brothers, Frank (B.J.) Mitchell and Lloyd (Brenda) Mitchell. Active pallbearers will be Joey Knox, Danny Taylor, Larry Hudson, Ricky Witherington, T.J. Bradley, Larry Mitchell, Ron Leverette, Timbo Blackwell, Don McHenry, Andy Lowery and James Mitchell Mr. Mitchell will lie-in-state at the church on Friday for 30 minutes prior to services.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6pm until 8pm.
