Lucky certainly earned his childhood nickname by surviving no less than four accidents/medical emergencies later in life that would have killed most. Despite all the slings and arrows life threw his way, he continued to be the same big teddy bear he had always been, especially with the people who mattered most in his life. He was always a loving and kind soul who had a heart for practically everyone, even being worried for the animals on his farm whenever the weather was bad. Obviously, there were few things Lucky loved more than being a farmer. He was truly just in sync with the earth itself, or so it seemed, and there was nothing he enjoyed more than the time he spent on his tractor tending to it all. What did he farm? Anything he could, from corn and peanuts to cows and hogs. His was a simple kind of life because he knew the value in life's simplest pleasures and never took any of them for granted. Above all, he was a devoted son and brother to the women in his life who were always there for him no matter what and he will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Lucky was preceded in death by his son, Darren Moody; mother, Thelma McLeod Moody; and father, Dalton Moody. He is survived by his sons, William "Cricket" Moody and Marcus Moody; a granddaughter; siblings, Marcia Gail Moody Rogers and Jared "Robo" Moody; and several other extended family members and friends.
Active pallbearers will be John Rodgers, Jason Rodgers, Ronnie Bozeman, Joshua Hinton, Heath Bozeman, and Chris West. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Rodgers, Paul Bozeman, Fletcher Bozeman, Charles McLeod, Gene McLeod, Curtis McLeod, Terry Moody, Larry Tomlin, Mike Jones, and Ricky Beck.
