William Rex Scrushy

SCRUSHY, Mr. William Rex, 80, a resident of Grady died Friday September 9, 2011. Funeral services will be 11 am Monday September 12, 2011 at Magnolia Baptist Church with Rev. Howard Kirkland officiating. Interment with military honors will be at Sentell Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Scrushy was preceded in death by his parents, George M. and Maude Mansel Scrushy and two brothers, Richard T. Scrushy and Gerald M. Scrushy. Survivors include his three daughters, Sharon (Paul) Patton, Jan (Gary) Hill and Cindy (Jerry) Guy; his spouse; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Millie McGhee, Mary Bruner and Margaret Ford; two brothers, Ed (Julie) Scrushy and Jack Scrushy; and a number of nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Chris Cox, Billy Cox, Kade Cox, George Scrushy, Jack Scrushy, Jr., James Betten, Dallas Betten and John Harrod. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5pm until 7pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorial donations be made to Magnolia Baptist Church, Highland Home, AL 36041 in his name.
