SLAWSON, Mr. Willy Ray “Billy”, 81, a resident of Dozier, AL died Sunday, December 14, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Billy T. Bond officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Slawson is preceded in death by his daughter, Amelia Slawson. He is survived by eight children, Kenneth R. Slawson, Kenneth D. (Eunice) Slawson, Willie Ray (Shelia) Slawson, Jr., Wayne Slawson, Tommy D. (Catherine) Sasser, Pamelia (Ronnie) Sanders, Teresa Slawson, and Kimberly Slawson; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; four sisters, Shelia Nelson, Twynette Campbell, Bobbie Jean Hammett, and Onimerle Slawson; and three brothers, Jackie Slawson, Curtis Slawson, and Wayne Slawson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday morning from 9:30 – 11:00 am.
