Willie Colvin Taylor, born January 9,1933 passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus at home surrounded by his loving family on March 14,2026.

Mr. Willie was 93 years old and was just a few months shy of being married to his loving and faithful wife June Mills Taylor for 70 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ed and Ada Taylor and siblings Foreman(Betty) Taylor, Coston (Jewel) Taylor, Ellree (Harper) Kilcrease , Margaret(James) Baker, and Wilma (Horace) Fowler.

Leaving behind to treasure his memories is his wife June Mills Taylor, brother Mickey (Joy) Taylor, son Alan Taylor(Ken Hartzog),daughters Twyla (Gary) Godwin and Violet (Stewart) Lowery, grandchildren Hillary (Jason) Lester, Lynley (Shane) Corley, Hayden(Jana) Shelton, Colby Shelton and Reade Hartzog. Great grandchildren Emmalyn Grace Corley and Adalyn Lester along with a host of nieces and nephews.

The family, under the direction of Turners Funeral Home will hold a graveside service on Wednesday March 18,2026 at 2:00 pm at Emmaus Cemetery in Luverne, Alabama, All family and friends are invited to come.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his honor to the Luverne United Methodist Church 88 East 1st Street Luverne, Al 36049 and Aveanna Hospice 23 Jameson Lane Greenville Al 36037.

Mr Taylor's grandsons will proudly serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Tonya Jarman and Lou Guy with Aveanna Hospice, Dr Charles Tompkins and his staff, Jackie and Tameka May, Joyce Brantley, Joann Boyd, and Renisha Martin. Without each of these people we could not have kept him with us at home.
