Mrs. Wilma Pearl Duncan Brown, 94, a resident of Honoraville, Alabama, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 4th, 2021, at Orchard Healthcare Center in Hayneville, Alabama. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, November 7th, in Cool Springs Cemetery with Rev. Scott Sexton and Rev. Terry Lowe officiating and Turners Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Brown spent most of her working career as a seamstress for local textile factories, excelling at work that took great skill. She also selflessly devoted herself to serving as the caretaker for her parents in the final years of their lives. She and her husband were never blessed with children, but she thoroughly enjoyed all of the years she spent as the doting aunt to multiple generations of nieces and nephews. She will truly be missed by all of them, but they find solace in the knowledge that she has now reunited with her husband in the arms of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Brown; her parents, Cecil & Fannie Mae Rogers Duncan; and siblings, Minnie Lee Hartin, Howard Duncan, and Edward Duncan. She is survived by her sister, Linnie Merle Frazier, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Comfort Care Hospice and Orchard Healthcare Center for their loving and tender care of Mrs. Brown.
The family and friends will meet in the cemetery on Sunday at service time.
